carantanta´s history

the popayan´s products company was born in popayan in 1992, with the familiar idea of industrialize an autochthonous article named "carantanta".
this product has been presented as a snak ready to eat; Maden 100% natural, packed in polipropileno´s bags.
Because of the grew it was extended nationally.

Where did it started?

Carantanta´s fabrication started in a small city named popayan located in pubenza`s valley,betweenwest mountain chain, and central mountain chain;This city has a river named cauca´s river, this river is located across popayan´s north.Last proyection´s report, of municipality poblational head-borards,2007-june,DANE; Revealed that popayan is in the 18 place of the “city with more citizens” in colombia, with 230.642citizens.
Founded in 1536 by Sebastián de Belalcázar, where puben´s aborigen was located before.
